Sign in at app.dextradesk.com in Safari or Chrome on your phone and tap Connect. Turn the phone sideways for a bigger picture.

Moving and clicking

• Open the Menu to choose how touch works. Trackpad: slide a finger to move the mouse, like a laptop's trackpad, and tap to click. Direct touch: tap exactly where you want to click.
• Trackpad also: tap with two fingers to right-click, and tap then drag to drag. In Direct touch, hold to right-click.
• Two fingers scroll. Pinch to zoom, and double-tap with two fingers to fit the picture again.

Typing

• Tap the Keyboard button to bring up your phone's keyboard. A row above it has the keys phones don't have, such as Ctrl, Alt, Win and Shift. It scrolls sideways for more.
• Use Paste to PC in that row to paste what you copied on the phone.

Full screen

• iPhone and iPad: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open DextraDesk from the new icon to use the whole screen.
• Android: in Chrome's menu, choose Add to home screen or Install app.

Sound and quality

If you hear nothing, tap the sound button: phones only play sound after a tap. The picture adjusts to your connection by itself; the Quality panel in the Menu shows how it's doing and lets you change it.
